Counting down to its fourth edition, MEO KALORAMA celebrates Art, Sustainability, and Music with three free events across Lisbon as part of MEO KALORAMA ON TOUR.

The program includes art installations, DJ sets, and showcases, bringing together artists from a variety of disciplines.

ART AT BELA VISTA: LISBOA – A GREEN CITY

LISBOA – A GREEN CITY aims to highlight the sustainable and ecological character of Lisbon through a large-scale painting—spanning more than 2,500 square meters—that will be visible from the sky. This piece will serve as a true welcome postcard for everyone arriving in the city by plane, reinforcing Lisbon’s reputation as a “Green City.”

Curated by Underdogs, the work is an artistic intervention by Mafalda Gonçalves, an artist known for her figurative approach and vibrant primary color palette. Her reinterpretations of public spaces often serve as the starting point for her creative process.

On May 23, between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM, MEO KALORAMA ON TOUR will inaugurate what will become Lisbon’s most visible aerial artwork.

Blending music, art, and sustainability, the moment will also feature a special showcase by The Black Mamba, who continue to explore the world of Last Night in Amsterdam, their 2023 album. This month they released the single “Cornerstone,” a new B-side that deepens their emotional and aesthetic ties to Amsterdam—and fans will be able to hear it live this Friday.

Entry is free via the Parque da Bela Vista main entrance.

CORNER TAKEOVER

On May 29, from 6 PM to 10 PM, MEO KALORAMA heads to Corner, one of Lisbon’s busiest kiosks and a daily meeting spot for hundreds of locals, for a laid-back afternoon of music and community.

Once again stepping outside the festival grounds of Parque da Bela Vista, the event features two DJ sets in one of the city’s most iconic new hangouts, underlining the festival’s connection to Lisbon and its people.

Curated by MEO KALORAMA, the music will be delivered by Rúben da Cruz and Ari Giräo, two key figures in Lisbon’s nightlife.

SUNSET EL CORTE INGLÉS

The final event of MEO KALORAMA ON TOUR takes place at El Corte Inglés, one of the festival’s official partners.

On June 5, from 6 PM to 10 PM, Yen Sung and Kierastoboy take over a pop-up DJ booth at El Corte Inglés for a sunset session that celebrates the festival’s pillars. The event will also feature live painting by Pitanga, a Lisbon-based artist curated by Underdogs.

Yen Sung—one of the first female DJs in Portugal, resident at Lux Frágil, and an international presence since the ’90s—will bring a cohesive yet eclectic set with deep cuts across house, techno, hip hop, and reggae.

Kierastoboy, who’s also performing this year on MEO KALORAMA’s PANORAMA LISBOA stage, is a DJ and radio host, and a key name in Lisbon’s emerging electronic scene.

Entry to Sunset El Corte Inglés is free, but RSVP is required due to limited capacity. More information will be shared soon via the festival’s social media.

MEO KALORAMA returns to Parque da Bela Vista on June 19, 20, and 21, with a lineup that includes Pet Shop Boys, Damiano David, fka Twigs, Jorja Smith, Azealia Banks, Sevdaliza, The Flaming Lips playing ‘Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots’, Father John Misty, Scissor Sisters, BADBADNOTGOOD, Royel Otis, and many more.

Day tickets and full festival passes are available now at meokalorama.pt, feverup.com, MEO stores, and other usual outlets.
