Massive Attack, formed in 1988 in Bristol, UK, are officially made up of "3D" (Robert Del Naja) and "Daddy G" (Grant Marshall). Massive Attack immediately achieved success with their debut album (1991) "Blue Lines", a mixture of hip-hop, jazz and soul with slowed-down, dense beats. Trip-hop was born.
