One of the most acclaimed indie bands of all time, LCD Soundsystem emerged in New York City in July 2002 with James Murphy's first recording as LCD . They performed “The Long Goodbye”, a farewell concert, at the sold-out Madison Square Garden. After four years of silence, they released the new song "Christmas Will Break Your Heart" on 24 December 2015. They returned to the stage shortly afterwards.
